And then we were three…

Hello fellow tripawds…

How interesting to find a site dedicated to us… Most sites seems to focus around those strange four legged creatures… We live with one ourselves, quite odd really, but that’s getting ahead of things, allow me to introduce myself!

I’m Cooper, a tripawd Redbone Coonhound from Georgia, now living in (cold!) Montreal, Canada… I share my treats and cushions with Cinta, a fellow tripawd Maine Coonecat and a strange four-legged Golden Retriever, Colby. She walks funny but we like her anyway… We’ve tried to teach her the hopalong without much success…

Here we are:

Compassionate Placement

Well folks, I need a bit of compassion here—I recently had one of my front legs amputated because of unfixable damage, BUT I am as good as NEW!

Just WAIT until my beautiful long hair grows in again and covers the area, bet you will never notice, because I get around just GREAT in my foster home, I am truly an AMAZING boy!

At a bit over 1 1/2 years, I am a Domestic Longhair Cat, as sweet in nature as you will ever find, and I get along FINE with the cats and dogs in my foster home, I am mobile but LOVE to get a good cuddle and I purr like a kitten! Exceptionally loving, you will never regret making me your life partner!

I am neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FelV tested negative, dewormed—good to GO! Are YOU my Earth Angel?

Gerdy’s Rescues & Adoptions Update
December 15, 2011 ·
“Why are we never surprised” department: Gerdy got a call from a woman about a cat with a paralysed leg, a stray, would we help? Gerdy agreed, we had the leg amputated as was the only solution, THEN found out the cat was really that person’s cat and had been to the same vet with the leg problem in SEPTEMBER, in pain, left the vet’s without treatment then. Why not just tell the truth in the first place? Of course we now have the poor cat in rescue to be adopted. Is anyone willing to foster during the convalescence, can you help?

Gerdy’s Rescues & Adoptions What a SWEET boy this 3 legged lad is! He is up and walking about, all stitched up and taking it all in stride. The vet did a wonderful job, his long fur will grow in and cover it up in no time. his name is Peppermint Paddy, he is ready for adoption but we need a foster temporarily!! EARTH ANGEL NEEDED, folks!!

  1. Thanks for introducing us to your fabulous fur family. My cat Mona had her front leg amputated in June and in the morning it sounds like she tap dances when trying to get my attention. Our tripawds are so special and so are you for making them part of your family.

    Cheers from rainy Vancouver Island,

    Kerren and Mona

    1. Thanks for your welcome Kerren! It’s amazing how they bring us so much more than we can ever bring them is it not?

We adopted both Cooper and Cinta less than two months after their respective amputations, Cooper a bit over a year ago and Cinta almost 3 years ago, and they are the happiest, funniest creatures. They truly have no clue that they are different in any way!

  2. OH my DOG what a combo! You guys are really uber cool and it’s an honor to have you join the family. I know you will have MUCH to share with us about life on three legs for both dogs and cats. What an amazing source of information you both are, thank you for sharing your life here.

Cooper and Cinta, I’m sorry that you met up with some unbelievably sucky and mean humans. You have been through way too much awfulness than any critter should face, and I’m sorry that you went through that. But wow you really did win the pawrent lotto, what pawesome fortune that you found the pack that you did (even if they did take you to the frozen white north! 😉 Still, I’ll bet you guys get some good cuddling in that cold weather. Brrrr.

Can you tell I’m really hoppy you are here? YAY! Please jump in, visit our forums, it’s truly a joy to have you join us.
