About

Woof! Awrr (I’m a hound after all)! My name is Cooper and I’m a four year (‘ish) old Redbone Coonhound from Georgia, rescued by an angel after having been shot by my previous owner. My people in Montreal Canada saw my story and a group of amazing people mobilized to have my leg amputated and bring me to my new home in Montreal, Canada. It’s cold here for a Georgia boy in the winter (Ineven have a spiffy coat) but I love my peeps and I live with a cool Maine Coone cat, Cinta (also a tripawd, rescued from a neglect/abuse situation) and Colby, a strange nine year old Golden Retriever. She’s quite odd as she has four legs, but we love her anyway…

Together we’re 10 paws in the kitchen, always waiting for our peeps to drop a few crumbs when they’re cooking!

We’re here to prove to others that it’s better to hop on three legs than to limp on four! Here I am with Cinta the cat hiding behind me!

Here are the earth angels who helped us find our forever home!

Cooper:

Samantha Holton from Girard Lifesaver rescued Cooper, raised the funds for his amputation and saved him from a kill-pound. Samantha is an incredible soul who does so much for animals in need: http://www.girardlifesaver.org

Paige A. and her amazing family rescue and provide shelter for Great Danes and took Cooper in to rehabilitate him after his surgery. They provided love and warmth and a family for our pooch and we are eternally grateful.

My Buddy’s Coming Home, an amazing group of people, provide transport for rescues from Southern States up to North-East ones. They brought Cooper up a bit north of NYC and we met him there. A 6 hour jaunt across the border and he was home! http://www.mybuddystransport.com

And last but so not least Liz Marshall whose herculean marketing and voice for rescues everywhere through her blog and social media pages allowed us to find Cooper! Her blog post was picked up by a lifestyle blog, GirlyGirlArmy, seen by us in Montreal, Qc. and the rest is history! http://www.lizardmarsh.net

Cinta was adopted from Gerdy’s Rescues: http://www.gerdysrescue.org

Colby was adopted from the SPCA Montérégie: http://www.spcamonteregie.com

With more gratitude than words can express to all of you!

Adopt, don’t shop!
