Almost famous…

Hello fellow friends, furry and non…

My moment of near-fame has arrived and I wanted to share it with all of you! A new ‘pet space’ boutique has opened in our town and as part of the grand opening there was a wine and cheese evening (actually is was a beer and cheese evening, a local microbrewery beer called, aptly, ‘Chihuahua’) and a fundraising fashion show.

Of course being the gorgeous top-model that I am I was part of the show and actually modeled the best coat in recycled materials (leather, suede and fur – my mum has a slight issue with the fur thing but as it was recycled she flowed with it). Of course if offset my gorgeous red coat perfectly đŸ™‚

It was also a great forum for us tripawds ;)! So many people came up to chat with my peeps, ask questions about tripawds and mobility and say how amazed they were at seeing a three-legged dog hopping around so happily :)! I hope that it has changed some people’s perceptions of us amputees and makes them more open to adopting/rescuing/making tough decisions in the face of their pet’s illness.

A few pictures of the article that appeared in our local newspaper (yes, that is ‘moi’ being dashing on the left)… Oh, and there is that jealous cat Cinta trying to steal my thunder… Feigning sleep on the paper to hide my snap, hmmmmph…

Oh, and pardon my French if you will, I used to be a Georgia boy but I’m now, living in Quebec, fluently bilingual :)! I know all of my cues in French : assis (sit), couche (lay down), reste (stay), viens (come), dehors (outside), fais pipi (ok, that one is self-explanatory), au pied (heel), manger (food!!!), biscuit (another easy one)…

Life in ‘la belle province’ is all in French, hence that article accompanying my picture… But that’s ok, the picture says a thousand words!

Hugs from Montréal!

Perhaps you are a teeny bit jealous that Cinta can actually READ the paper? She may not show it but she’s very proud of you representing tripawds. Way to go in Montreal.
