Summer loving…

‘Summer lovin’, had me a blast
Summer lovin’, happened so fast
Met a girl crazy for me (my part)
Met a boy cute as can be (that kooky Golden’s part)
Summer days drifting away’

Sigh, those ‘Grease’ lyrics really do apply for a Georgia boy living in winterland… Tomorrow they’re forecasting a real doozer of a storm with 40 centimeters rolling our way… Makes me long for those summer sun days…

That was the life really, and that sun keeps my joints and limbs all toasty… Though, in the winter my physiotherapist ups the temperature in my swimming therapy pool which is nice, though I’m still not nuts about water unlike that Golden Colby…

Perhaps I’ll share some pics of me in the pool with my therapist next post, but for now here is ‘moi’ basking in the warm sun this summer during our beach vacation!

Sigh… That was the life!

Me running on the beach… Who says tripawds can’t run? Look at those ears flopping in the wind in my wake!

Now that being said… The beauty of living in the cold? Fires in the fireplace! Our peeps start one often in the winter and our bed is right near the hearth… Maybe…

Here is ‘the look’ Colby and I have developped to plea them into something, maybe it will work for a nice warm fire…

  1. You two are overloaded with the xuteness factor!!! That look would get you anything you wanted at my house….pretty sure it’s working for you!

Cooper, you are a real sun worshiper!! You clearly are meant for the beach and not the snow! Brrrrrr!

I LOVE that first picture of you in action!! Magazine cover material right there! Love that photo! Trilawds like you represent the whole community beautifully!!

You two stay warm! And thank you for warming our hearts today with this great blog!! Keep em coming!!

    Warm cozy Hugs to all!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

    1. Thanks for your comment, I’m so glad you’re enjoying my posts!

A sun-worshipper I definitely am… Perhaps if I keep perfecting ‘the look’ I can woo my folks into movin somewhere warmer… Though I do enjoy those fires in the winter!

Speakin of action, don’t tell my peeps that I told you, but… you might have noticed in my beach action shot that my long red lead is trailing behind me? I listen pretty well off lead, but… I am a hound you know and twice since they adopted me I decided to jaunt off… They had to race after me for long minutes and I mean race!

Who says tripawds can’t run? Go tripawds!

  2. Adorable! You’ve just discovered the cure for beating the winter blues: take LOTS of pictures during summer! I feel all toasty warm just looking at ’em!

    1. Hi Jerry,

Thanks for following my blog (well, technically it’s ‘our’ blog since Cinta is the co-tripawd and we’re still allowing that Colby to be part of it despite her strange 4th leg…), I love reading your comments.

I noticed that you reformatted my pictures in all but the ‘bunny’ blog, thanks for that! Is there a trick for doing that on an ipad? They always seem to upload quite large?

Thanks for hosting this amazing forum for us tripawfect pets!

  3. I would LOVE to see pics of Cooper in his pool.
There are lots of advantages living in a rural setting, but one of the disadvantages definitely is that we don’t have access to certain amenities – and a doggy pool is one of them 🙁
Of course we have lots of lakes around – but unfortunately those are frozen at least 6 months of the year 😛

  4. Hi Steph,

So happy to read your comment and peruse Zac & Layla’s Facebook page! What gorgeous dogs! And another tri-pet (2 dogs and a cat) family with two adopted tripawds :)!

I noticed you’re in Canada as well but did not see what province/part, would love to know :)!

Yes, I get you about the frozen lakes, same here in Qc! Our vet actually recommended as much lake swimming as we could get Cooper to do, but… He HATES water. Whereas we can’t get Colby out of any body of water… With Cooper it is embarassing trying to get him in it… Imagine two adults trying to pull & push (gently of course), cajole, bribe and beg a three-legged dog into a lake :)! We have had people ask if they could take a picture… Of the dog winning the battle of course :)!

So hydrotherapy pool it is, though even that he does not love, but it’s nice and toasty, and his therapist gets in with him sometimes, and I scratch his ears so it’s bearable :)!

I’ll send you some pics, his big hound eyes say it all, i.e. ‘I’m a hound dammit, why I am I in water? Go get the Golden if you want to watch a dog swim!’

    Hugs from Mtl,

    Alana
